Hilary has 30 years of experience in residential and commercial interior design. She was a designer at W&J Sloane's, co-owner of Liberte, a French furniture import company and had her own Interior Design firm in San Francisco for many years before returning to her home town and Frank Patton Interiors. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in art and interior design from the University of Missouri and has been an NCIDQ certified professional member of ASID since 1981.
Hilary is experienced in all styles of design and is interested in a diversity of experiences. She begins with each client by focusing on how they live, their needs and desires, style preferences from very modern to more traditional, or an eclectic combination of various styles. There are a lot of variables and Hilary tries to steer them to what is correct for them to turn their desires into reality. To begin the design process, she starts with space planning, then furniture selection, followed by color and fabric selections, rugs, window treatments and finally accessorizing. She works in all phases of the design process, consulting with architects, contractors, and kitchen and bath specialists for remodeling or new construction.
